Lake Texoma striper fishing since my last report has been fantastic. We have been catching good limits of fish and the action has been about as fast as it gets. I am fishing live bait while mainly on anchor. The stripers are being found in a great variations of depths, anywhere from 18-55 feet of water. I have been concentrating on humps, ditches and ledges and only occassionally drift fishing. I have talked with several of my lure chunking friends who say they are also doing well on topwaters and sassy shads early in the morning.

The last week has been good, with lots of Big fish, and rather fast, to say the least. My regular customers, Bears, Robertson,Allison,Thompson, and a few trips with other guides saw some fast catching, some slow, but all with the limit of 10 fish per person. We are still on live bait, but it seems to be shifting to where we will soon be on all artificial, spoons, and top water action.

Fishing since my last report has been excellent. I have fished most everyday with several morning and afternoon charters. We are catching large numbers of stripers on live bait while on anchor in anywhere from 20-55 feet of water. The current lake level is at 618.02 with a water temperature of 68 degrees and still somewhat off color.

We recieved an email over the weekend from a fisherman whose party recently had a tough day fishing with a guide on Lake Texoma, catching only a few small stripers. The inquiry centered around the use of phrases of terms "Guarateed Catch", "Catch fish or your money back. We had witten an article on this last year and for your information are updating the past article.

This past weekend 5/9,10,11 were good fishing days, with the fish getting bigger each trip. We limited out each time, but Saturday was a day I got one of my best box of fish in some time, all big fish, and it seemed I did a lot better than most other guides, working a little harder I guess.

The fish with the Wilson group, were bigger than they look in the picture, but we knew…..Been a little windy, bait still plentiful, but great time to be out here on the water catching stripers.

The lst of May has proven to be a good time for hugh limits or for throwing back a lot of fish. Although the limits were still somewhat small Saturday, there was plenty of action and fun for the White famlily.

Sunday was the Lords Day, but Monday was mine again on the lake, catching some good fish, bigger than most fish caught so far. The biggest of course were lost on broken lines, as we could not turn them and they broke the lines. We did get our limit of over 20s, and great box fish. The rains run us off, but not before our limits.

Last few trips have been somewhat difficult, getting to the fish, with the high winds here. I have gotten lots of fish, most limits of 10 fish per person, somewhat small, but getting better with each warming day. Bait is plentiful, but stocking it for the hard times coming. All fish are in great shape, with the smaller ones still hardy, and a great filet. My lodging at Little Mineral has been accepted as a great place to stay. I can use it as free lodging option if necessary. Right now it works great, lower than anywhere else on the lake, and clean. Good Fishing…."JD"
